From the yards of Maine....
# 6 is owned and operated by Ledgemere Transportation, Inc. in Wells, Maine. This bus is equipped with a gasoline engine. Still in use today as a spare bus, it looks just as good as is did in 1989 when this picture was taken eventhough it had a collision with a moose a few years back!


From the yards of Maryland...
#5131 is owned and operated by the Baltimore County Public Schools. This bus is one of the first ordered with side push-outs.

From the yards of New Jersey...
#8 is an International chassis with a Crown/Carpenter body. This bus is owned and operated by the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District from central New Jersey. This photo was taken in March, 1997.

The Freightliners have arrived in New Jersey! This brand new Crown Classic/Freighterliner is owned and oeprated by Wolfington Body Corp. This bus was photographed at the New Jersey School Bus Roadeo at the Great Adventure Amusement Park in Jackson, New Jersey on Saturday, May 2, 1998. It has been quite a while since a new chassis manufacturer has entered the school bus market. We look forward to seeing this chassis on many different body styles.


#2865 is owned and operated by Laidlaw of Trenton, New Jersey. #2865 is seen here at the New Jersey School Bus Roadeo at the Great Adventure Amusement Park in Jackson, New Jersey on Saturday, May 2, 1998. This bus was being used in the driving portion of the competion.

From the yards of New York....
#288 and with coach #281 in the background are owned Academy Bus Company, Inc. and operated by Bronx Bus Corporation from New York City. #288 & #281 were photographed at the Great Adventure Amusement Park in Jackson, New Jersey on Saturday, May 2, 1998. New York State is one of those few states that requires school buses to have the black-out package on the sides of the coach.

From the yards of Pennsylvania....
#701 is owned and operated by Yellowbird from suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. #701 was photographed at the Great Adventure Amusement Park in Jackson, New Jersey on Saturday, May 2, 1998. A few special features on this coach were the tinted windows and the flip-up "School Bus" sign.
