Apple System Profiler is included on your hard drive. It is useful for checking hardware and software attributes of your computer.
To check processor speed using Apple System Profiler, look under the Hardware Overview section of the System Profile tab.
To check for CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, CD-RW/DVD-ROM, or DVD-R/CD-RW using Apple System Profiler, look under the Internal ATA section of the Devices and Volumes tab.
