Washington D.C. Trip - Monday, May 4, 1998

We left home at 7:10 AM.
I took Mom to Dulles International Airport at 10 AM.
We went through security and across to Midfield - Concourse C.
She went to her gate C22 and I left at 10:30 AM.
A Map of Dulles
I went up the Dulles Airport Road and got back on I-66 into Airlington.
I went to the Pentagon but could not find a parking space.

Then I crossed the Potomac River and went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

A Very Interesting Tour!

My tour was at 12:40 PM and lasted until 1:39 PM.
Then I went to the FBI building and found out tours were closed.
J. Edgar Hoover Building
Then I went to the Washington National Cathedral.
The West End of the National Cathedral
I love the Cathedral! Every time I go, I am impressed by the size and wonder of the building.
My tour guide was probably 85 and AWFUL!
But I did get to see the crypt level which I have never been in.
Then I went to Union Station and shopped for a while.
Union Station's Main Hall
I left Washington at 5:45 PM.
I got home around 8:45 PM.

That's my trip! Had a good time!
