Mac OS X Public Beta	Wednesday, September 13, 2000	A totally re-written Mac OS from a FreeBSD UNIX underpinning. Required Mac OS 9.0.4 to run "Classic" Macintosh Applications. This beta expired on May 15, 2001. (If you want to run this beta, just set your date between Sept. 13, 2000 and May 15, 2001 before installing.)
Mac OS X (10.0) (Build 4K78)	Saturday, March 24, 2001	Re-introduced the Apple Menu that was missing in the Public Beta. Required Mac OS 9.1 to run "Classic" Macintosh Applications. Missing CD-RW support and DVD Playback and Recording Support. Installed on my Power Mac G4 Cube on Tuesday, April 3, 2001.
Mac OS 10.0.1 (Build 4L13) (Download Updater)	Friday, April 13, 2001	Improvements included better support for 3rd party USB devices, Classic compatibility and overall application stability. Required that Software Update 1.3.1 be installed before OS 10.0.1 updater is installed. Installed on my G4 Cube on Friday, April 13, 2001.
Mac OS 10.0.2 (Build 4P12)	Tuesday, May 1, 2001	Required that Mac OS 10.0.1 Updater be installed first. Added support for burning audio CDs via iTunes, but not for burning Data CDs. Installed on my G4 Cube on Tuesday, May 1, 2001. The Updater for OS X 10.0.2 was removed from Apple's site on May 9, 2001.
Mac OS 10.0.3 (Build 4P13) (Download Updater)	Wednesday, May 9, 2001	Required that Mac OS 10.0.1 Updater be installed first. Included everything from the Mac OS X 10.0.2 update. Included newest version of ftp server to fix a security hole. Installed on my G4 Cube on Wednesday, May 9, 2001.
Mac OS 10.0.4 (Build 4Q12) (Download Updater)	Thursday, June 21, 2001	Will update any version of 10.0.x to 10.0.4. Included numerous USB fixes, Classic Environment fixes, and security fixes. Decreased power consumption for Powerbooks and iBook during sleep! Installed on my G4 Cube on Thursday, June 21, 2001.
Mac OS 10.1 (Build 5G64)	Tuesday, September 25, 2001	Announced at Macworld Expo NY, on Wednesday, July 18, 2001. Included many performance optimizations. Required Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2.x to run "Classic" Macintosh Applications. Includes CD Burning and DVD playback. Also included many more personalization options. Installed on my G4 Cube on Monday, October 1, 2001.
Mac OS 10.1.1 (Build 5M28) (Download Updater)	Tuesday, November 13, 2001	Updates for USB, Firewire, CD & DVD burning, AFP, SMB, WebDAV, Printing, Finder, and Mail application. Hardware accelerated video mirroring added for the 550 & 667 Powerbook G4s. Required Mac OS X 10.1 to be installed. Installed on my G4 Cube on Wednesday, November 14, 2001.

Installed on my G4 Cube on Saturday, February 23, 2002.

The update also included the updated services previously delivered in Security Update 2002-09-20. This OS was never installed on my G4 Cube.
